High Speed 2

Andrew Bridgen responds to the High Speed 2 announcement.
“The Secretary of State for Transport has made her decision on High Speed 2 for better or worse. What I am calling for now is for the Government to publish the full route extending to Manchester and Leeds as soon as possible, to lift the fog of uncertainty that hangs over great swathes of our country which is blighted by the possibility of being on the proposed route, this potentially includes parts of North West Leicestershire. I will also be calling upon the Government to pay compensation both quickly and generously to those adversely affected by the plans.”
