Local MP praises Government drive to reduce mixed-sex hospital wards
Andrew Bridgen, MP for North West Leicestershire, has praised the Government for driving down the number of hospital patients in mixed-sex wards by 90 percent.
Over the past twelve months the Conservative led coalition Government has also reduced the number of managers in the NHS by 4000 and increased the number of doctors by 2000.
Andrew said: “We introduced tough measures to scrap mixed-sex accommodation in almost all hospitals.
“The NHS has done a fantastic job getting to grips with this. Single-sex accommodation is what people can now expect. By introducing greater transparency, this Government has driven down breaches by 90 percent in eight months.”
