MP meets with local community group RAMPZ to learn of their exciting new venture an indoor skate-park
Andrew Bridgen MP met with Sue Peake-Russell and the young people of RAMPZ Community Group to learn about their new project to provide a top indoor skate-park facility in the Coalville area.
RAMPZ are a very keen Group of committee members and young people who have come together with a common interest. The Group hope that the facility will be user led and ran by the young people of North West Leicestershire.
RAMPZ strongly believe that Coalville needs a quality all weather indoor skate-park facility as it currently has very few areas where people can meet to skate and ride. Those facilities which are already in place are overused and are made unavailable in times of severe rainfall.
Andrew Bridgen MP supports RAMPZ project by stating that ‘the skills learned from the sport and the fitness benefits, coupled with better socialising from a shared interest can only be positive and beneficial when supervised in a purpose built, all weather facility professionally created and managed for such activities.’
In the coming months RAMPZ will be working directly with the local police, local businesses, schools and colleges. Should you wish to get involved with the project, contact: rampzgroup@live.co.uk
