MP visits eco factory
Local MP Andrew Bridgen visited the Board24 factory in Bardon Hill, Coalville, and afterwards praised the company for running a modern and efficient plant.
The factory, which employs more than 100 people, manufactures high quality corrugated sheet board, made from 90% recycled paper and 100% biodegradable.
Board24 was established in 1987 and has two other sites in the UK, Larkhall and Preston.
The MP for North West Leicestershire toured the factory and met workers.
Board24 Sales Manager Alex Morris said: “We thank Andrew for taking an interest in the staff we employ and our future investment plans.
“It is reassuring to know that our MP has a genuine concern for manufacturing and we look forward to his future support of Board24 and the corrugated packaging industry.
“He is welcome back anytime.”
Andrew said: “I was pleased to visit the Board 24 site in Coaville. The plant is modern and efficient and it is good to hear that the company intends to continue investing in its future.”
