Andrew Bridgen MP opens ‘Jubilee Wood’ at Osgathorpe

Local MP, Andrew Bridgen, planted the last tree and conducted the opening of the new ‘Jubilee Wood’ at Osgathorpe.

Osgathorpe Parish Council successfully bid for a free Woodland Trust community tree planting pack. The pack comprises 420 trees, which are among the 6 million to be planted during Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee year. Simon Blunt of Osgathorpe Hall kindly provided an area of his land along a current footpath and on Sunday 9th December around thirty villagers completed the project to be known as the ‘Jubilee Wood’.
