In response to the new scrutiny Andrew Bridgen MP states:
“An unexpected consequence of the Government's lockdown measures were that we shut down all nonessential retail, which includes clothes shops. That forced people to buy off the Internet, and it's Internet retailers who are sourcing from Leicester”.
Andrew Bridgen MP for North West Leicestershire was delighted to welcome Prime Minister Boris Johnson MP to Coalville’s Castle Rock School to speak to pupils about returning to school and congratulate the staff for getting children back to school in a covid safe environment.
Local MP Andrew Bridgen has helped to secure a share of £500,000 to develop plans and proposals to reopen the Ivanhoe Line. The funding will be used to explore the feasibility of the project in more detail, after the Department for Transport decided the project was worthy of further consideration.
